Acceptable Use Policy
This document is a DRAFT and is not yet effective. This Acceptable Use Policy will become effective on 10th June 2026. Tweak Technologies is providing existing users of the Software with at least thirty (30) days' notice prior to that date. Until 10th June 2026 this AUP is published for review only and is not binding on users of the Software.
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules that apply to your use of the Software. It is incorporated by reference into, and forms part of, the Terms and Conditions and the End-User License Agreement. By installing, accessing, or otherwise using the Software on or after 10th June 2026 you agree to comply with this AUP.
1. Definitions
In this AUP, in the Terms and Conditions, and in the End-User License Agreement, the following terms have the following meanings:
- "Software" means the tweak browser extension and any related services provided by Tweak Technologies.
- "Authorized User" means the single, named natural person whose email address is associated with a paid Subscription. The Authorized User is the only individual permitted to install, access, or use the Software under that Subscription.
- "Subscription" means a paid plan that grants one (1) Authorized User the right to use the Software for the duration of that plan.
- "Seat" means the right granted by a single Subscription for one Authorized User to use the Software. Each Seat corresponds to one, and only one, Authorized User.
- "Credentials" means any login email, password, license key, authentication token, session cookie, OAuth token, or other mechanism used to access or activate the Software under a Subscription.
2. License and Seat Restrictions
Each Subscription grants access to one Authorized User only. If more than one individual requires use of the Software, each such individual must hold their own active Subscription. Customers requiring volume or team licensing should contact [email protected].
The Software is intended for manual, interactive use by an Authorized User who is a natural person. Each Authorized User must be a single, identifiable human being. The Software is not licensed for use by, or on behalf of, organizations as a single entity, robotic processes, automated agents, or any other non-human user.
3. Prohibited Technical Conduct
You shall not use the Software, and shall not permit any other person to use the Software, to:
(a) bypass, circumvent, or disable any security mechanism, authentication system, rate limit, paywall, geographic restriction, or digital rights management ("DRM") system of any third-party website, service, or platform;
(b) engage in fraudulent activity, including falsifying data, financial information, identity markers, transaction records, or other information presented to or by any third party;
(c) facilitate, attempt, or conceal unauthorized access to any third-party API, server, account, network, or private data;
(d) reverse engineer, modify, disable, or otherwise tamper with any feature of the Software intended to enforce Subscription, license, seat, or anti-abuse limits, or to detect abuse;
(e) operate the Software via automated scripts, bots, headless browser environments, or any non-interactive process for the purpose of data mining, mass request manipulation, scraping, automated testing at scale, or any similar automated activity, in each case without the prior written consent of Tweak Technologies; or
(f) use the Software in any way that violates any applicable local, national, or international law.
4. Respect for Third-Party Terms
You agree to comply with the terms of service, acceptable use policies, and other legal agreements of any third-party website, application programming interface, or platform with which you interact while using the Software. Tweak Technologies does not condone, and expressly prohibits, the use of the Software to violate third-party legal agreements. You are solely responsible for your use of the Software in relation to such third parties. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tweak Technologies, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claim, demand, loss, damage, fine, or proceeding (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your breach of this section.
5. Prohibited Commercial and Account Conduct
You shall not, and shall not permit any other person to:
(a) share, transfer, sublicense, resell, lend, or otherwise make available your Credentials to any other person, whether inside or outside your household, team, or organization;
(b) allow any individual other than the Authorized User to install, log in to, or use the Software under your Subscription;
(c) use a single Subscription to provision access for multiple individuals, including by means of shared accounts, generic or role-based accounts, group mailboxes, or rotating Credentials between team members;
(d) use the Software in any manner designed to circumvent seat, usage, or licensing limits, including by maintaining concurrent active sessions for the purpose of granting access to more than one individual;
(e) misrepresent your identity or the identity of the Authorized User, including by registering a Subscription under a name, email, or organization that is not your own; or
(f) resell, rent, lease, host, or commercially sublicense access to the Software to any third party.
6. Usage Monitoring and Telemetry
Tweak Technologies reserves the right, but is not obligated, to monitor use of the Software and any related services for indicators of abuse, fraud, and breach of this AUP. Indicators may include, without limitation: concurrent or rapidly alternating sessions from disparate IP addresses, geographies, or devices; unusual or high-frequency login patterns; multiple distinct browser or device fingerprints associated with a single Subscription; reuse of a single license key across an unusual number of installations; and other signals consistent with shared use of Credentials.
Telemetry collected for these purposes is used solely for fraud prevention, abuse detection, and verification of compliance with this AUP, the Terms and Conditions, and the End-User License Agreement. It is not used for advertising, for behavioural profiling unrelated to license enforcement, or for sale to third parties. Information collected for these purposes is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
7. Compliance Verification
Upon reasonable request, you shall provide a written certification, signed by you (or, in the case of an organizational customer, by an authorized representative), confirming that the Software is being used in full compliance with the Seat limits and other obligations set out in this AUP. Tweak Technologies will not request such certification more than once in any twelve (12) month period, except where Tweak Technologies has a reasonable, good-faith belief that a breach has occurred, in which case it may request certification at any time.
If a certification is not provided within thirty (30) days of request, or if a certification is incorrect or misleading, or if other lawful means reveal a breach of this AUP, you shall be liable for any unpaid Subscription fees corresponding to the unauthorized use, calculated at Tweak Technologies' then-current standard rates, in addition to any other remedy available to Tweak Technologies under this AUP, the Terms and Conditions, the End-User License Agreement, or applicable law.
8. Enforcement
If Tweak Technologies determines, acting reasonably and in good faith, that you have breached this AUP, Tweak Technologies may take any one or more of the following actions, with or without prior notice:
- Require you to purchase additional Subscriptions to cover any unauthorized users, with retroactive effect.
- Suspend access to the Software, in whole or in part, for the affected Subscription or account.
- Terminate the affected Subscription and any related accounts, immediately and without refund of any fees already paid.
- Recover any losses, including unpaid Subscription fees and reasonable enforcement costs.
- Pursue any other remedy available at law or in equity.
The remedies set out in this section are cumulative and without prejudice to any other right or remedy of Tweak Technologies under the Terms and Conditions, the End-User License Agreement, or applicable law.
9. Reporting Abuse
If you become aware of any suspected breach of this AUP, including unauthorized sharing of Credentials, please contact us at [email protected].
10. Changes to this Policy
Tweak Technologies reserves the right to modify this AUP. If a change is material, Tweak Technologies will provide at least thirty (30) days' notice prior to the new terms taking effect, by in-app notification, by email to the address linked to your Subscription, or by a prominent notice on https://tweak-extension.com. Non-material changes (for example, formatting, typographical corrections, or clarifications that do not adversely affect your rights) may be made at any time and will be reflected by an update to the "Effective date" at the bottom of this page. Continued use of the Software after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised AUP.
